LAURA VALLE | Press: Laura Valle Lands a 5-Star Review with Her Debut Album 'Perlas'
Congrats to our Gloucester Records siren Laura Valle for landing a 5-Star review of her debut album 'Perlas' from Inside World Music's critic Matthew Forss:
“Argentinean
singer, Laura Valle produces a rousing mix of flamenco, jazz, tango,
and folkloric-inspired songs in English and Spanish. The new album,
Perlas, contains eleven songs co-produced with Juan Pablo Lazo between
2006 and 2007 in Buenos Aires and Los Angeles. The new work includes
over a dozen musicians from Argentina, France, Switzerland, and the USA.
The
vocals are accompanied by a great mix of South American percussion,
jazzy horns, flamenco guitar, bossa nova elements, and laid-back pop
concoctions. Laura’s smooth and sincere voice is full of vitality and
harmony. The music contains a rich ambiance of Latin flair, sensual
vocals, and delicate instrumentation that is very relaxing overall.
Anyone with an interest in South American jazz, percussion, songs, and
vocals will find happiness with Laura Valle. This is a very solid
release.”
